Agreed, this F6 ‘idea’ is a non-starter.

Just a quick check on pricing:

1) XR50 as per UK dealer website can be had for Ł3900 + external starter if needed.

2) Swissauto: my figure of Ł3100 based on www.swissauto250.eu - €2930 x 0.88 (middle rate today) = Ł2580 + 20% UK VAT Ł516 = Ł3100 + shipping

3) Tech F1: my figure of Ł3500 based on www.technique-engineering.it - €3300 x 0.88 (middle rate today) = Ł2904 + 20% UK VAT Ł581 = Ł3485 + shipping

In both above 2 cases the actual exchange rate paid will of course be a good deal less favourable

4) UK price of a KZ2 engine: about Ł3100 + VAT = about Ł3720

So they’re all very expensive these days; there has been substantial price inflation across the board.

Nos. 1 and 4 are – in my opinion – easily the most fun, but No. 1 lasts an awful lot longer.
