It looks like a briggs and stratton engine, its an engine they would use on generators, cement mixers etc, its very much in the mould of the honda range thats used for karting as in it was designed for industrial use and adapted for karts. It's a four stroke engine and in my experience are a lot less reliable than the honda engines used in karting. I'm sure someone else will have more info. Hope this helps.
