Within the box of a new clutch there are assortment of washers and spacers in including a washer for between the crank and the clutch. Over the years sometimes these are shaped but more often they are simply a plane washer. Performance wise there is nothing between them.

The box also contains a stepped washer for the end of the crank together with a new bolt. The bolt, however, is a little on the short side but a few M8 washer with one large plate washer does the job and always the dialling in of just a small amount of float that many desire.
