The times I have posted were on our kart, (Ive just asked him, and he said he managed a 54.58) But if you look, they are around a second or so off the pace. Now, the tyres are relatively new, only done a few hours, but they have been sat in the garage on the kart for a year. The chassis is cracked near the weight post, and I dont think that will make too much difference to be honest, just thought it was worth mentioning.

I think the engines and set-up is where the time's going to be found. He has been karting a good few years, but recently took a year or so out without even touching a kart. Now seems to have the bug again!
