nothing changes there then, hey! they daren't put an Aixro meeting on the same bill as KF2, KF3, KZ2, IFG, MFT, TKM, Rotax, lol... how many new 2 stroke classes are there now (made up some of those!)
still the same; more cash you spend on 2-strokes gives you a better chance of winning.
and its all about optimum weight.
high power four strokes are:
1. low emissions 2. low maintenance 3. low revving / high torque 4. as fast as 2-strokes or quicker 5. weight is less of an issue 6. don't need to spend a fortune; you could even set the number of spare engines and spare chassis for a team. Even 1 set of spares on rotation; that's cost cutting for you
2-strokes are like F1 in the early noughties. testing, testing, testing and more testing. shed loads of engines, chassis, spares, jets, carbs, oil, fuel, tyres, tyres and more tyres! awnings, trucks, blah blah blah
There will be ZERO 2-strokes on the GP bike grid next year; 125's are being replaced by Moto3, Moto2 replaced the 250's 2 years ago. There are no 2-strokes in Moto-X anymore
The writing is SURELY on the wall...
