slightly loose chain is OK until you loose a race because of it !!, not too tight, rear axle must spin with out and drag from a tight chain, KEEP INLINE, super important !!!, not too loose, sprocket protectors a must.

Wash chains every time out, re grease and a chain will last a very long time, do not clean and the dirt will wear the chain out fast.
