A good example of how unequal honda GX160's are is that they could no longer claim 5.5hp for them. Even though they where basically the same engine, some engines could fall short and in the States this could mean big litagation problems, so now they claim 4.8hp.
The current engines from Thailand are much closer, so finding exceptional parts are harder. But the odd ones that slip through, you can be pretty sure will be headed for S1 rather than SP engines.
If you really wanted to look for SP parts a good place to start would be the genuine Honda engines now being made in China. I've seen a few, and while they are identical to the Thai and Jap engines the tolerences have slipped again.
