Well...... I agree with some of that.
However, even with HUGE flaws in your driving technique, if the driver THINKS and OBSERVES, then he will learn his way out of those flaws by noticing that he gets BEATEN when he makers those mistakes.
I have never had a single official lesson and have worked out HOW to drive quickly simply by noticing how what I did differed from the QUICK guys.... and learning the lesson the hard way. Lessons would have been good but they didn't really exist in the 1960s and 1970s.
When drivers first raced cars, they had no tutors and every SINGLE subsequent 'tutor' has been 'informed' on how to be quick BY the guys who LEARNED it from scratch.
Tutors get you there quicker but they are NOT the ONLY way!
