I always zero my steering by the following method. Its also quicker

using lasers turn the front left wheel to full lock ie steering to right hand down position. get a tape measure and measure the laser dot from the steering colum (assuming the colum is straight.

now the the same on the opposite side.

The 2 distances ie left and right should have the same distance from the steering colum. if they dont then you have lost the steering center.

I know on mine its typicaly 30mm. if i set left side to 30mm and the right side to 30mm then the steering is bang on perfect.
