Go down to your local builder merchants and buy a roll of lead flashing 150mm wide.

Cut it into stips of 40cm and lay them into the seat. When the seat is covered on the inside apply plenty of gaffa tape.

Take the new lead seat insert out of the seat and apply gaffa tape to the other side. 3 layers all round should do.

Nail this into your seat

FYI 3m at 150mm wide is about 9kg.
