I take your point Itpro in terms of performance per £, but surely the point is people like the challenge? Why would you climb Everest, do nothing at the top, then climb down again? I guess for some people its not just about the end destination its about the journey getting there. I'm sure you do get the Honda thing really but let me put it this way to you, what would you rather do? a 1 minute lap of a circuit in a mk1 cortina youv'e poured a small fortune and hours into to lovingly restore from a pile of rusty bits
or? a 45 second lap of the same track in a Japanese 4wd saloon that you bought on autotrader for a mere fraction of the cost of the cortina?
Before you lambast me for suggesting the GX is the Cortina and the 100cc the mass produced Japanese, i'm not, but 1 way takes a lot more time, effort and money for seemingly less physical reward, the other way seems on paper a no brainer. I guess sometimes the heart rules the head and rightly so, the world would be a whole heap less interesting if it didn't!
