Any comments or feedback please.
My Opinion:- At the moment the TKM 4S Senior is the slowest of all the TKM classes on most circuits since the introduction of the new age Maxxis Green tyres.
Will be interesting to test the new greens to see if they improve or further detract from the lap times. Weight is a major issue for the class at 162kg however some of the front runners in S1 are on that limit so I dont think a consensus will want to change the weight. Additional power would benefit , but there is no easy solution to this without expense and upsetting the "reasonably level " performance of the engines.
The tyre change will be a saving and also make it the only TKM tyre (will it get cheaper then ? ) doubt it LOL.

CHANGE OF TYRES FOR FORMULA TKM 4-STROKE SENIORS The Formula TKM Senior 4-stroke class will switch dry weather tyres for 2011 onto the same New Age Green label Maxxis tyres used for all other TKM classes. It will save driver around £19 per set of tyres. The decision has been taken after usage of the new tyres introduced this season has underlined their outstanding dual ability to provide better handling and even longer life than their predecessors. Alan Turney, boss of Tal-Ko Racing, organisers of the Formula TKM classes, explained: “These new age green label tyres offer the very latest technology in terms of chemical make-up to ensure their ‘green’ credentials. Their latest design also ensures quick warm up and long life. “Our drivers have enthused over them and so to switch to a tyre with great credentials and a lower price will I hope be a popular move with drivers.” The change has been approved by the ABkC and will come into effect from January 1, 2011 but with an introductory period to ease the changeover for club racing.
