If you just want to get in and drive or as parent want to know your kids kart is going to start then 4 Stroke can't be beaten.

On the other hand if you want to muck about rebuilding carbs and constantly changing gearing to find the sweet spot then go 2 stroke.

As for the Art form comments, well that's a matter of opinion. A seventies based air cooled piston ported IAME engine is my idea of hell. Ugly, out of date and environmentally unsound.

But the OHV Honda design is brilliant just because of the simplicity of its design. It’s copied by just about everyone for a reason.
