I think both codes are EXTREMELY friendly and helpful, particuarly at club level, in 2/ 99.9% of drivers will help you out, and I am sure the same would be said in prokarting..........but I have to agree with Ian`s theme and say that, if you have raced 100cc 2/s, or gearbox karts of ANY derivative, or even Ian`s pet hate, the dreaded MAX :-), then, unless cost was the issue, or you especially wanted to do endurance.......you would NEVER `move on` to prokarts.
Prokarters will, of course, quite correctly, stand up for the sport they love, and so they should.
I`m not having a go at either, my `career` was in 2/, and once I had tasted that thrill, I could not have taken the prokart route, so I fully understand Itpro`s postings on this topic.
