I fully agree with Biland Racer (hi, Chris) re proper management and the candidate: but if karters are only prepared to pay peanuts…
And yes, Aixros are disliked / not welcome at Whilton (but 125 & even 250 gearbox karts are - go figure) while Biland noise is deemed to travel too far beyond the gates at PFI for these engines to be allowed there. So we have a considerable block against joining forces; something about which some will no doubt be happy.
Yet we have all this when karting is crying out for more business, and could so easily have it: crazy.
That aside, there’s nothing to stop Biland/SA etc. owners racing their karts for instance at the monthly non-MSA meetings at Lydd: why is no one doing so?
And please let’s not have anyone say “go buy a Rotax and your problem is solved”: a) we don’t want to and won’t, and b) imagine if we did: one supplier would have even more complete control, then who benefits?
