Unfortunately everyone wants to spout an opinion based upon a tiny bit on knowledge they got out of thier monthly karting magazine.

Firstly Tim, i think you need to realise that NO championship/class is easy. There is always someone quick no matter where you go. Im not going to give too much opinion on TKM 4/ as ive never raced it and i too have a small bit of knowledge. But the facts are Welshy is bloody quick and didnt walk away with it, so there is definately some proper competition.
Im sure people remember Rob Huff doing bits in prokarts. fact is that top drivers can come from any class, just cos they are not walking out of a fancy awning or cos there is not 40+ karts on the grid doesnt mean there are no quality drivers there.

As for those slagging Rotax. Rotax is a VERY competitive class.
I see one of the drivers i race against in prokarts saying that 2/'s "Un talented drivers on super high budgets to compensate for lack of talent"?? maybe you would like to jump onto super 1 Rotax/KF grid and see how you find it. i went from winning the PF prokart championship with huge grids, i then jumped into Rotax and was right near the back for a few rounds. You have to race against some of these lads to have a proper opinion, the skill of the front running super 1 lads is unbelievable. Dan Cammish left rotax and was british formula ford scholarship champion at first attempt.
Also a budget to do Rotax is very sensible (if you dont get carried away and want to be in the posh awning). the budget is half that of running a KF. MOTORING NEWS RATED IT AS KARTING CHAMPIONSHIP OF THE YEAR 2009 PURELY DUE TO THE COMPETITION LEVEL.

Also Tim how can you say KF has less competition?? are you mad?? everytime a top winning super1 Rotax driver goes into KF they struggle. Try telling chamberlaine that you think he has no competition.

TO EVERYONE HERE SLAGGING EACH OTHERS CLASS, THE
FACTS ARE THERE IS NO EASY CLASS IN MOTORSPORT. PEOPLE DO THE CLASS THEY EITHER UNDERSTAND OR CAN AFFORD. WALLETS DONT MAKE YOU A BETTER DRIVER.

I doesnt matter if your racing 4 karts or 40. If them 4 are top drivers your gonna find it hard.

Im not here to upset anyone or anything, but its frustrating to see a lot of comments being made by people on both sides of this arguement who have very little/NO knowledge about what they are talking about.
I hope my opinion is slightly valued as i race Rotax against the likes of Simmo and prokarts against Welshy.
