If you want a change from the TKM BT82 the TKM 4/ won't satisfy your needs. It's one of the most pointless engines ever developed.
If you want a bit more performance, and you're not bothered about racing take a look at IAME X30 or Leopard. Maybe even a Rotax or one the other high performance 4?s available. All much quicker and more fun than the TKM 4/.
The reason older tkm 4/ engines are still competitive in S1 is because the competition is/was lower. If only 12 people turn up to race in the whole country and they are not backed by big teams and big money, then of course old engines will still be strong. The same could be said for any type of engine.
If you want to stay with the Rotaxs in your TKM 2/go buy some YGBs or some sticky SKF Dunlops and save yourself some cash. Or.... buy a Rotax. TKM 4/ is a dead class.
