ive recently had experience of this my self. what the lads are rying to explain is that regardless of little or lots of compression, on pull start will feel the same because the decompression mech cuts in and will feel light. this applies to all correctley set up engines .. you can not tell how much compression an engine has by pulling the cord, and therefore the suggestion that there may be something wrong with your own motor. hope this helps ( incorrectley set up valves can cause havoc with pull start )
