4 Clubmen drivers are promoted to Elite being Adam Harrison, Aly Warral, Michael Kew and Lewis Dodsworth (although the market place suggests that Lewis and Aly are selling up which is a rear shame).
Thereafter it is down to the driver's themselves as to where they consider they should fit with the back stop that Peter Bill and Ian still have the final judgement.
I think the definition that Ian used last year was about right - Clubman was for young up and comming drivers, novices, gentlemen drivers and fat blokes. And it seemed to work with the grid continuing to grow.
But I never thought about demotion before now and if Grant moves down I will too!!
The Elite list does sound quite strong with Grant, Lee and myself starting all over again (I hope my ribs hold out - New kart arrives next week) and then you have Welshie returning from super 1 duties, Chris Miller (the track record holder) and Adam Suanders committing to the series. Whitey, Gregor and Ryan last year showed just how quick they were and took wins and again if the conditions are right you have Dave Brewis and David Harrison - never mind Adam and Michael, Eamon on his new kart and not forgetting the rest of the Scots lads. As Grant says it will be tough - and Trev!!
And the sharp end of clubman will be good - Hopefully Stacy will be back from injury, young Ben Fallon is going well in testing and Mark Foster is on decent kit and showed a turn of pace legally last season.
Weighing - I have to agree that there needs to be more random checks undertaken but I would extend this beyond weighing and include other scrutineering too.
So looking forward to it.
