Lard,
Tyre softener is allowed at Lydd. Keeps the cost of tyres down, I guess.

I reduced the pressure to about 14 hot when I raced at Lydd last (with my 7 Kart), using SL1s and tyre softener. I used to run my Wright chassis as low as 14 on Bridgestones

Given that they felt a bit like 2 stroke tyres, I reckon that if you run your Wright fairly narrow at the back, torsion bar out, start with 15mm at the front, you may have a setup to start testing with.

Failing that, try talking to someone who knows about running the Wright chassis with your tyre arrangements...
