I'm against double headers personally, as I'm self employed as there is a great deal of financial loss (more that you'll each spend on weekends racing) to missing out a few Mondays.
I'd rather keep my days of to family holidays and stuff like that.
I think we need to keep circuits close to the majority, so that's on the mainland unfortunately for IOM and NI drivers.
I do see where your coming from, as it potentially would only 4 weekends in a year. So for those that have to travel.
Ban testing the week prior, only allow practice on the Saturday, then race the Sunday. It's a budget class trust me that keeps the cost down. If there is practice on the Friday it can turn it in to a 3 - 4 day event (once traveling is included). Which the original HC was guilty of RAT did nothing to cap costs and it ended up taking up so much time as well.
