The first corner incidents are partly caused by the fact they want the P1 & P2 to approach the start line at walking pace. So we end up bunching the 35 karts behind far too much.

So there ends up being large speed differentials between the front and the mid field.

So basically what I'm saying is if you had 15 on the grid you'll still get accidents at the first corner. The starts need tweeked slightly and the chance of first corner incidents will be lower.
