I was thinking the same thing a couple of weeks ago, i thought this would have been the perfect class class for my son, probably alot cheaper as well. The only problem is, that virtually no one seems to be in that class in th UK. (I live in Wrexham, North Wales and our nearest track is hooton.)
What should happen is that there needs to be some race with an ok grid of 8 min somewhere. Otherwise, no one will do it if there is no one already doing it.Then it needs to be like, proper marketed (I never knew there was such a class as honda junior until someone told me 2 weeks ago) aiming at newcomers and we can capatalise on the fact that it is cheaper with this credit crunch.
Ever since Lewis Hamilton came along, my son and his friends have been desperate to get into karting. Out of 12 of them that are interested, all their parents (except me) decided not to get into it simply because of the cost. My son probably will start karting, were just on the look out for a decent second chassis+engine. But if honda junior was running, i would have certainly chosen that.
