advert yes, bargain no
reasoning: The std engine costs around £180 for anyone buying in bulk and £220ish for joe bloggs, the parts are prob' another £40-£50, so... £220ish plus an hours labour to prep the engine and you have a bog std engine that will not win you any races and yet costs you £400ish inc vat.
-Bingo,by buying the entry level prepped engine from a big player you have just bought into the money pit/roundabout of sending your engines away to buy faster and faster prep.
The answer? DIY prep for entry level racing and if you really need to pay someone else to build a faster one then shop around and ask the right questions, like what to expect.
Why DIY engine prep? Ans:If you send it away for prep you will never get the hang of engine prep... simple. If you DIY you will then appreciate the work that goes into a winning engine.
Oh btw, clones are not the bad boys made out to be by people with axes to grind.
Please refrain from advertising RPM within the forum messages... it's a bit like a woolies sale, dissapointing from a big player.
