IN concept there is nothing wrong with the WF class. In reality engine problems killed it before it could take hold even with the support of the top 4/ drivers in teh country at the time - that and the fact that there already was an established budget class in the UK - the humble prokart.
All WF did was dilute existing grids as mid field drivers, in the main, moved class. Many have since moved again (and not just to prokarts) and sadly others have left the sport all together.
WF is on the decline and while the kit is cheap to buy this is symtamatic of supply and demand. I would be interested to see just how many ace next year at WL with the combined Jnr/Snr grid. I only hope there is enough to keep the grid separate from the prokarts - purely on saftey grounds as previously discussed - perhaps Jnr TKM would be a more comparable grid to run off the back of.
