Got to agree with all of this. I've been told the MSA took a sealed engine apart replaced some of the parts with obvious illegal ones, resealed it and sent it off to the agent to make repairs. It was duly sent back with work done and a new set of seals and signed log book!!
We now have a system here that works. You can buy a selected parts engine for £600+ if you want to race Super 1 (thats a reasonable percentatge when you consider it costs £2000 minimum to enter and travel to all Super 1 rounds)or £400 for basic engine if your just starting out. The selected parts reduces the mass production tolerances and makes for a more level playing field of engines.
All you need then is a ggod set of Tech Regs that can be enforced to keep the cheats out.
