check the gap between the flywheel and pick-ups just in case. Have you got a spare ignition system?? Could be it's breaking down and not working well at high revs. What colour is the plug when you pull it out?? Should be a nice light brown colour. I had loads of problems with one of my engines once, Tried all sorts, but was still running poorly. Then looked at the carb insulator (the black plastic thing between carb and head) and saw that it had some almost invisible cracks in it. Replaced it (about £6 from the 'right' supplier) and Bob's your uncle!! Make sure you put some new gaskets on it as well. One last thing, all engines need to breath IN and breath OUT - try running without the filter. If still no good, take the exhaust off and give it a good shake. If it rattles, send it to JJ for de-baffle. If it doesn't, try another exhaust just in case. Hope these tips help..... Geoff
