the problem with rotax now is most of (not all) the best and super 1 drivers are centred around pfi seeing that as the premier track in the uk and attracts the best drivers to test and race. Mills are based there so x30 promotion is heavy and rotax is dimissed. Bear in mind Paul Fletchers comment when he didn't know what the evo kit is. I would like to think there was a mini max grid, why not get down to forest edge and race there, not as glamourous as pfi but a nice friendly well run club, my son enjoyed his racing there, i think there and a circuit in the south west have strong mini max grids. If there is no mini max grid then there won;t be a british championship for another 2 years in that class which may mean junior rotax grows or both mini and junior rotax die at super 1 level. There wasn't a senior grid. Shame really because with the evo kit now all rotax classes are fairly equal waft wise and don't have the waft differences that x30 has or the breakdown and rebuild issues. Rotax has become a nice simple plug and play class, but maybe the evo kit came after the horse has bolted.
