It always amuses me that the MSA can provide a single-seater style highly bespoke sealed 160bhp regulated engine for the British MSA Formula 4 championship for just €6,000 from a single engine supplier, sodemo in france.

I did a season with a team last year and never have I ever seen so many X30 engines seized or in so many pieces, what a POS the X30 really is.
Agree with the above, Rotax has reacted far too late. But JAG created the problem for themselves when they took Grices sealing rights away from him due to a minor build infringement, which I nearly split my sides laughing when I found out what it was, seemed awfully petty for JAG to take such extreme action against a valued engine builder for such a trivial matter, so in the meantime while Grice could not seal Rotax's, Grice then pushed the X30 like hell and sold a lot of X30 motors.......so JAG made their own bed, now have to sleep in it.
The ABKC is almost a racket / monopoly for any form of 2-stroke, and either JAG & JM will always laugh their way to the bank......previously it was JAG, currently its JM.
