Dear Clay Pigeon Kart Club, I would like to say thank you for a very enjoyable days racing yesterday, but my mummy told me never to tell lies.
Yesterday was one of the hottest days for racing we have had all season and yet you still insist on 3 fifteen lap heats and a 23 lap final, what you trying to do, kill us with your generosity. That was over 40 minutes of competitive racing, whats wrong with you people, havn't you heard of having pity on us oldies.
And then you open a great cafe selling fantastic food with the balcony overlooking the whole circuit. Afternoon snooze to help the food go down, no such luck, back to racing after the lunch break for the marshals.
Joking aside, what a fantastic days racing at a great circuit with some of the best facilities in the country. The whole day was pretty perfect, from Drivers briefing where we were made to feel very welcome with Ben the CoC giving a nice well balanced briefing rather than some telling us how tough they are going to be.
The heats were well organised and ran very smoothly, great driving with very few penalties for bumper contact. No one going home with a box of bits that use to be a kart. If you want racing with respect then Clay is as good an example as any circuit.
