I believe some difficult and trying situations are going to result in the weeks and months ahead between Club Officials & drivers etc as the new 2016 season unfolds which will make or break someone's season at any level of the sport!
Not aware if there's a 'Appeal Procedure in place to deal with resolving issues! But for the present time you can't make an Appeal for a Bumper Movement infringement!
The purpose or idea behind the 'Moveable Bumper' concept is to identify drivers to officials and penalise them for direct intentional contact with another kart during a race. It's not right to penalise a driver for perhaps coming into cotact with another kart that has perhaps spun directly in front of them and the driver for whatever reason could not take avoidable action resulting in contact been made which just so happened to ourselves during yesterdays qualifying session at PFI or perhaps clipping a raised curb, taking accident/collision avoidance measures i.e driving off circuit over grass, missing other general obstacles, tyre walls on pit entry etc.'The list can go on & on'
Perhaps it's time that all karts should be fitted with Go-Po camera's at all kart race meetings in 2016 to support such difficult situations and decisions to be made.
