thanks SimonS, very informative. for now i just want to have a good kart with a good engine and have one of the more powerful karts on the track. i am around 82kilos so would qualify for green top racing, but i imagine i will go for a weekends practice for maybe a year before money and time allows for any racing. so for now, purely wanting reliability and speed for practice and fun...what would you recommend? can you inform me on kf1, 2 and 3? ive read kf1 is 37hp? at the moment i have a 100cc air cooled tkm tag, lots of fun, light and nimble, but just not fast enough. what is the rotax max's best comparison?...if there is such a thing. i would prefer an unsealed engine so i can undertake minor rebuilds myself. i am not the best blue driver and have lots to learn..with this in mind would a max give me a better drive and high speeds? for my wants and needs i think FB can now be discarded until i consider racing. so i think my question is now green top, max...or kf1? thanks. shaun
