that is probably because the blue is restricted to somewhere where a wide open blue engine carries a very heavy driver. The lighter guys are then restricted. Its 100cc. The blue also allows in seniors for a 115cc Lynx engine called the maxi that can carry even heavier drivers combos.

When I say heavy, I mean typical adults. It just means that the class is not geared to very light people as normally associated with karting or any other form of motorsport.

Its probably the fairest most equalised form of karting out there. I believe TKM also use restrictors so are trying to do the same thing.
