Back in the day , TKM then called 100 UK raced on Cheng Shin greens and they were £50 a set. A BT 82 retailed at £350 entries£10. So relatively tyres have gone up rather less than engines or entries for example. Attempts to find a significantly cheaper tyre of acceptable quality and life seem to be floundering though Wizz kart are selling 'practice/ fun' tyres at £40 a set new with free delivery. I have yet to read any comment on the hard Duro as used in Retro and FP4? series.Best bet would seem to me to specify the Junior Rotax tyre Mojo D1 s.h for IKR as these get discarded sooner than anything else. One trader on Ebay has them on offer in 'Prime ' or' Option'???!!! spec at about £15 a set. Most seem to come free.Good for your economy and good for the environment!
