Yes I agree, karting is classed as a 'non contact' sport. So therefore if that is what the guidelines are set by the MSA then that is what should be followed. Meaning if anyone does make contact and loads people up they should be punished and get disqualified or maybe even fined depending on what happens. In football if someone receives a red card I believe they have to pay a fine? so why not in karting maybe then the dads or the teams will be more inclined to say don't be loading up or else we will have to pay a fine rather than saying knock him out the way if you cant get past. I know this is never going to happen but I am just voicing my opinion on the matter at the end of the days that's what forums are for. However, if the sport is now considered as a 'contact sport' and loading is acceptable then the MSA should say karting is now a contact sport and loading is allowed. lol, I just don't see how its fair racing if some people bully there way through but us fair racers don't do it...anyone can smack someone out the way its easy to knock a kart of its course it doesn't take skill or a degree of knowledge to know how to do it.
