A few things people might like to know about for TKM in the North.
Wombwell hosted Round 2 of the Northern TKM Club Champs on Sunday. 16 TKM Extreme entries, I think 6 Juniors, but was too busy trying to figure out how to make my new kart work to watch their races. Those that hadn't been to Wombwell before learnt that it's a circuit that needs to be treated with respect - a lot like Monaco in terms of accident consequences. I had a terrific day's racing, as did nearly everyone else. No hesitation about going back for another round next year, great track, great club.
This Sunday sees the next ChKRC MSA round at Hooton Park, and when I put my entry in was told there was already a reasonable grid of 4 or 5 Senior TKMs. Won't be at all surprised if we're into double figures by the weekend.
Finally, not sure how many will be interested, but SYKC are keen to include a grid of TKM Extreme and/or Junior in their Club "W Plate" meeting at Wombwell on May 11th. There's no Northern Club round next month, so if you're interested drop me a line via the email address in my forum profile. They'll need 6 entries before they can run the class, and I can't really afford to do it, but if there are 5 others interested I will find a way of being there.
