It depends on what level you want to race at. Rotax are very reliable, but there is a HUGE gap in performance between good and bad motors. X30 is a far better package in my opinion, they seen to have far closer manufacturing tolerances, giving fairly equal power.....and the big plus, the X30 is non sealed........Sealed engine classes always push the prices up, always have, always will...
