On the coil thing, I'm wondering if I'm also starting to see the first signs of a problem with our engine. Had bought it in October last year and was assured it came with a new style coil so was hoping we'd avoid these problems?

Having looked at rev traces in race studio from our last meeting, I can see the engine was accelerating OK for first few laps when cold...but then when hot, seems to accelerate fine off the corner, with rev trace following the same profile as for the "cold" laps...then half way up the straight would steadily drop away from the cold lap, dropping around 500rpm against cold laps by end of straight. Tried richening H jet and new plug but didn't seem to make much difference.

Our engine has always sounded rather flat (like a hoover) compared to the faster karts which have a distinct buzz right up to the braking zone. We've done around 12h on it since new. Does this sound just like carb setup or is there somewhere else we should be looking?

Any tips on where to look next would be warmly welcomed.
