Has it hell !!

I spoke to JM about this problem last year and was informed that they were working on it, but didn't see much of a problem. They said that they were testing some different palls on the starter to decrease the wear.

I also spoke to the MSA technical rep at Kartmania last year. He was fully aware of the problem and indicated that it was 'in hand'.

There has been no update on this - I suppose that 17 months is too short a time to expect anything to be done about it since the engine's introduction in 2012. (?)

On a positive side, I have found that tightening up the locator 'screws' on the palls to take out some of the slop has helped to lessen the wear. Or has my 'technique' of pulling the string got better ... Who knows ?????
