Beacause the MSA are THICK it took them an extra 6 months to make up their mind then rushed it through took the wrong advice and got the spec wrong.
This engine with ELECTRIC start has been about WORLD wide for 10 years. Dont be surprised if they allow electric starters soon as an upgrade soon , too many people complaining as the spare starter parts are running out, but then it will be through the sole importer cha ching ггггг's.
Starter motors are available for г30 on Ebay, a Rotax or Iame bendix will fit г25 and an alloy Iame starter bracket г21 you are away at play/test days then put recoil on for race day and hope the plastic pawl or string doesn't break, 2013 technology is advancing daily,however the MSA is still in the dark ages ,they have made as many U turns in the same time as the current Government..expect another one from both
