Paul,
The Club Championship this year has had grids of 30 Senior drivers, 26 Junior drivers, and has been solely based at Midlands circuits.
Grahame Butterworth had a longer term aim of introducing similar regional championships in other parts of the country. My intention is to gather sufficient interest to make sure the next TKM Club Championship is run in the North / North West.
I don't know how worried we should be about whether this conflicts with Super 1 - it would certainly be nice for regional competitors to be shown how it's done by people who also compete in a fierce national series - but it wouldn't be my biggest priority. Any thoughts on this much appreciated.
Similarly - what would help to keep costs down? Any thoughts?
If a few people can get past imagining what it would be like to turn the clocks back, and start thinking about what kind of racing they might want to enjoy next year, we might have the nucleus of another regional club championship.
Liam
