we are stuffed yet again because our driver is light- , what makes it worse is that we were in talks with the MSA from October last year over Junior/senior racing in europe (winter cup)- msa supporting our request to CIK for dispensation to run junior for safety (at that point 29kgs of lead) and not a dickie bird was mentioned about the proposed changes- great communication as usual!
We didnt see the consultation at all- completely missed it. We have been in juniors for one year and invested in kit we will potentially struggle to change to seniors financially after just a year. For seniors because of the age change (16 in january) we will carry 24kg of lead. Have you tried to lift a kart with an engine and that amount of lead on it? good luck!
This doesnt encourage lighter drivers at all.
So other than MSA web site where exactly was this publicised? I have looked through the bulletins mags etc ??
