Agreed but:
When people are leaving and not taking up karting because of the cost and the way it's run it's time to think again
Rotax: new tyres every race to be on pace?
Parent licences?
Cmr helmets?
No motor running?
Killing super cadet?
Etc etc etc
We know of 3 cadet family's that have packed it in, fed up with the bullish-t rules and costs
At some tracks that's 25% of the comer grids!!!!
When the msa make stupid rules you can see why people moan, leave karting , or go non msa
The new cadet motor is a prime example
For commercial reasons only the Hondas and comer will be restricted so they are slower than the "latest greatest" proper cadet kart motor
And that's the own goal
They promote a lovely little reliable nice engineered motor to bring in a proper race motor, oh but hang on its slower than what you have just bought off eBay for £200
What a missed chance
the msa are not listening to clubs or motor builders that this rule will hurt the present cadets and leave the comer and Honda alone
So you are starting out what class????
Now you have 3 to chose from and ALL without any decisions on how they will run for next year
Iame: who's going to build the best motors, are the carbs going to work, WILL any clubs have big enough grids to run a race?????
Comer: not sure what carbs they will run, will the become un sealed , how much will they be slowed?
Honda : how much will they be restricted???
When you bring out a new super dupa motor but then say its slower than what you have at present and exspect hard up folk to pay £3000 for two motors that at present you can only race for 6 rounds is plain dumb!
How can you say the new motor is faster or slower across the board unless you have same chassis, driver, same tyres same conditions at multiple circuits????
You can not
But the present cadets will be slowed to try and push us to buythe new motor
Not me and many others
