Moonshine has pretty much said my thoughts
If you can adjust temp on low,
changing hi will alter your max rpm
Work on a ratio of 5:1 so if you come out 5 on low go in 1 on hi, the jets work together.
Go for ambient +175 deg so if it 10 deg air you want to be at 185
I would never run at 230, way to hot in my view, using the cool plug does not add heat to the motor, we always ran a 02 plug because they are less prone to fouling on the warm up lap, if you have a hot day say 20 deg plus then a 08, but this is the uk ha ha!
Don't believe all you hear about running hot
Our last comer race at forest we was running 190, a friend who was much faster was running at 150, we cooled a lot and found the pace
The Comer / tryton set up is a nightmare and sometimes there is no reasoning to it, afraid it's test, test and test again
A carb can last 1 lap or 3 meetings,
Filter the fuel and keep carbs as clean as possible
If the carbs change for 2013 this will make life easier but you still have the long list of other down falls with the comer, so they do need a lot of prep if you want to finish the races
Hope that helps
Your set up sounds ok.
