Ian,
It's either great minds think alike or fools seldom differ, but my experiments are already going down the lines you suggested.
Weird thing that you and I can have heated debate without feeling any ruffled feathers, but others fall out with you. I'm sure it's the same sort of thing with Traxtar and me, and makes little sense.
The unfortunate bit is that having spent most of my working life as a fairly successful motorsport engineer I find it hard when someone that doesn't know me is casting doubts over my abilities. I know I should just become the bigger person and ignore it, but it isn't just me that it affects. I've spent 10 years in a team building something up for a good few hundred young people that I care about, and need to write references for.
Having my professional reputation attacked by someone I don't even know, and over something that I do as a hobby rather than for living isn't something that me or my employers can afford to take lightly. I enjoy the forum, have learnt a lot from it, and try to help people if I can. I've been very open about who I am and where I work and race, as I am on any forum. It seems a shame that the attacks on my ability as an engineer have become so personal, and I worry that Traxtar is just trying to get a reaction.
Liam
