If you have an internet connection on your phone at the track then just use a local weather website. We use www.daventryweather.co.uk when we're at Whilton Mill and I've cross checked the measurements with friends who have a decent weather station at the track and it's spot on.

I had a cheap weather station (not bought for karting) which I took along to a race once and it was miles out. You get what you pay for. But why pay anything at all when there's free and accurate data on the internet?
