I read a post a little while ago regarding measurements for the rotax carb. However there does not appear to be anything on official websites regarding measurements for the carb. There is a post on Karting 1 giving measurements, but thats not official.

Should this information be published officially by JAG

It appears that the scrutineer would use the rule if it doesnt say you can then you cant and that you are not allowed to modify equipment. So the onus would be on the competitor to prove he did not modify / tamper with his carb.

Also, when it comes to them using precision measuring equipment, what happens if they do not have a certificate of calibration for the measuring equipment they are using.

Dont get me wrong I do not condone cheating in any form, but I also want to see everyones equipment checked properly against official measurements using equipment which is calibrated. There is nothing worse than seeing someone getting away with cheating because they were able to challenge the scrutineers equipment.
