After being revealed at the 2010 Kartmania Show, Subaru Junior is generating more and more interest, inviting new drivers into the world of MSA Karting from kart schools across the UK. It's also proving to be popular with drivers who are karting on a limited budget and cannot meet the costs of entering TKM or Minimax when moving on from a cadet formula. The engine is 9hp and is a sealed unit (by Prokart Engineering) to keep a level playing field across the grid, with the exception of changing the main jet in the carburettor. The class also comprises a weight limit of 135kg and is able to run of Vega SL8's/Mojo Minimax/Junior Max Tyres as they are widely available to the UK, plus any Jun/Snr chassis either second hand or new can be put forward to be used in the class. A special open day as been arranged to try out the engine and talk to the 3 main promoters of the series on Sunday 14th November 2010 at Bayford Meadows Kart Circuit, in Kent. The cost will be just £15.00! Ambition Motorsport (UK), Project One Racing, and Prokart Engineering will all be on hand to answer any questions and provide information to make sure that you make the right choice in 2011. Please contact either Ambition Motorsport (UK) on 07951 831 236, Project One Racing on 01795 474 720 or Prokart Engineering on 01329 289 783 to book your place.
Buckmore Park, Bayford Meadows and Formula 6 have already indicated their willingness to include the class into their club championships if numbers are acceptable.
