Last year I was running with the lightweights as there was no 177 available, so I wasn't throwing tyres at the kart every meeting. While there was no drop off in the fastest laptime, it did take a few more laps to get the heat up and grip out of the tyres. If you're racing at the front, you will probably need tyres every race anyway, as there is a drop off of 3-5 tenths from the first run out, to when they've had a few runs. This means if you have a sensible practice session, you'll have an advantage for the next possibly two runs. By the time the final is run, old tyres will give the same level of grip as new, but you may be several grid slots down by then. If your running for fun at the back or with likeminded people in the mid field, Mojos will keep going for 3 or more weekends, and thats trailing my heavy ass round!
