Just like to say thank you Chris and Volts, to be honest I jumped the gun a bit, I had just done over a 300 mile round trip for this engine and was totally peed when I couldn't get a spark. The guy I brought the engine from got back to me at the same time you two posted your replies and he gave the same advice. It turned out to be a break in the wire. At the same time I cleaned all the contacts etc... Very very strong spark now and started 1st time. Thanks again guys and if the chap I brought this engine from is reading this...Thank you.
